On the road to Jerusalem

Toward Judea · A journey of purpose

Jesus turns toward Jerusalem. Along the way, encounters and teachings invite his followers to consider mercy, discipleship, and the meaning of the road ahead.

Luke 9:51–62

You might be wondering...

Why was Jerusalem the destination?

Luke presents the journey to Jerusalem as a decisive movement in Jesus’ ministry. The city becomes the setting for his final teaching, arrest, death, and resurrection.

Is this a complete itinerary?

No. The Gospels select and arrange episodes to tell the story of Jesus. These six chapters connect selected scenes; they do not reconstruct every trip or claim a single exact route.
